books and booklets
With so many options available you may feel like a kid in a sweet shop. Whatever you create it's important that your job is fit for purpose and works for print.
There are three main binding methods: saddle stitched; perfect bound and wiro bound. Saddle stitched put simply is stapled, commonly used for brochures and booklets. Perfect binding, ideal for catalogues and books, gives a square spine finish and is achieved using a gluing method. Wiro binding is, well, exactly what it says. Rings of wire allow the book to be opened flat which is great for manuals, notepads and diaries. Note that each method has minimum and maximum page number requirements.
